Drop down from thinking into FEEL-ing

Yoga Mind, Body + Spirit by Donna Farhi

Mary is passionate about yoga, mindfulness and inclusive, sustainable wellness practices that contribute to wholeness. She loves the ripple effect of power and presence that flows into her life after class. Mary offers heart centred, energising and fun classes weaving philosophy and the truth of impermanence into each class. Half Egyptian and having taught Bedouin Women on her travels, she is available to teach yoga to Arabic, Muslim women and Refugees. In 2019 she  completed trauma informed training with Our Mala.

Mary had been attending weekly classes with Grace Barry Tait, while working in advertising, helping her balance the frenetic environment and manage her anxiety. Each class left her feeling transformed and with a burning desire to teach, which she eventually did in 2011. Mary is also a practicing Body worker, offering Reiki, Deep Tissue and Indian Head Massage to ease stressed bodies and minds.

What students say

“Best pregnancy class I’ve done. Dynamic narration, great tuition explaining each pose and their benefits for you and the baby. Mary challenges you to safely push yourself which I very much appreciated as other antenatal classes made me feel hardly anything.” Marta G.

“I am in my 60s, a keen tennis player and inevitably have suffered several injuries, plus I suffer from insomnia. I have dipped in and out of yoga for over 20 years but Mary’s class is the best! She makes all newcomers very welcome and notes physical and emotional issues they may be experiencing.” Trish A.

“I’ve been practicing yoga with Mary for many years. I walk out of each class feeling a bigger, brighter, better person. She is a marvellous combination – an exacting, challenging and encouraging teacher, a splendid, inspiring and caring person and the essential tonic we all need in our busy lives.” Louise H.

“I first started going to Mary’s yoga classes over a year ago when I was recovering from a cancer diagnosis. Her style of yoga teaching is a rare find in London, a true balance of challenging physical movement with spiritual, uplifting positive energy! Her classes leave me feeling rejuvenated, clear headed and ultimately have helped me on my journey back to health.” Sarah B.
